After being being dethroned by Briton at Las Vegas in February, the American quickly exercised his rematch.

Tyson Fury the WBC world heavyweight champion is entitled to fight Wilder before July ending, with the temporal date for the match reported widely to be 18 July.

Promoter Frank Warren said, with the coronavirus causing havoc in the world of sport, the third fight is at risk. Eddie Hearn also admitted that the compulsory title fight between Joshua against Kubrat Pulev scheduled to be on the 20 June could be adjust back.

Though, with a future not predictable, Warren has emphasized the importance of the undisputed fight with Joshua. This fight puts Fury’s WBC belt on the line alongside his rival’s IBF, WBO and WBA titles.

Warren told Talk Sport. ” As everybody is aware, in the immediate repercussions for a rematch, for a third fight with Tyson, Deontay Wilder activated his contract clause. However, nothing at the moment has happened as we all are focusing on the current situation.

“I think or a couple of weeks will would know how everything’s are going and then decide how the land lies. Everything has been derailed by the coronavirus pandemic.

“If things goes this way, the virus will certainly affect the rematch, and there is no doubt about that. It will affect all the fight. However, the heavyweights must meet for another time.

“As for now, we are in the hands of the scientists and the government until we know what is best for anyone and know what its going to be after that. From the look of things its going to get worse before things starts getting better.

“In December, Tyson Fury vs Anthony Joshua fight looks like a fight that will certainly happen. Hopefully things should be better by then. That is the fight everyone have been anticipating and that is what we all want to make.
